Messaging and To-Do List Module

• Messages "pop up" for each individual on their screen
• Track "open" and "closed" messages
• Messages interfaced to Housekeeping system
• Messages available for Users, Guests, Groups, and others at the property
• Messages can be added from any workstation
• "To-do" list for each employee
• Messages can be sent to "departments" and then assigned to individuals.  For example, the front desk can send a message to housekeeping to put more towels in room 343.  The head housekeeper can then assign this task to a specific person

Messages for Individuals

Each person who uses the RDPWin system has a unique login name and password.   When a given user logs into the system the messages for that individual are displayed in the following order:

1. Messages intended for the entire company ("system wide") messages
2. Messages for that persons workgroup (such as housekeeping, Front Desk, etc)
3. Messages unique for that individual

Track Open and Closed Messages

When messages are sent to a given user, guest, or group, they continue to show until closed. After a message has been closed it can still be viewed on a separate screen using the "closed message" option.  Messages can be sorted by a variety of criteria, including:

• Date and Time
• From Address
• Open/Closed
• Department
• Priority

Messages Interfaced to Housekeeping System

The messaging system if fully integrated with RDP's housekeeping system.  For example:

1. A guest calls the front desk to request additional towel
2. The front desk employee generates a message for the housekeeping department for more towels
3. The message appears on the head housekeepers monitor screen
4. The head housekeeper can assign this "message" to an individual housekeeper
5. The system can notify the housekeeper of the message via a Text Email to a cell phone or wireless PDA
6. After the housekeeper completes the "task" (the "to-do"), they can close the message.  It no longer appears as an open "to do list" item for that person.
7. The message is now closed, but available for historical tracking and reporting.

Messages can be sent and tracked for many entities at the property, including the following:

• Users of the RDP system
• Guests currently at the property
• Group leaders
• Housekeepers
• Work orders & Asset
