Notes about Yield Management

• The top third of the yield management screen displays the guest name, travel agent and/or group information, the default tax code, reservation dates, and the number of people (by classification, i.e. - adults, children, etc.).



• Rates are calculated by up to four people classifications.  Each classification label is customized by your property.



• If your property only calculates rates by one or two people classifications, the remaining ones are suppressed.



• The middle third of the yield management screen displays availability by room type.  



• The bottom third of the yield management screen displays rate plans.  The reservationist matches the guest's room type preference with the correct rate plan.



• Each night of the reservation can by assigned a unique rate plan.  For example, the first two days of the reservation can be assigned the RACK rate and the remaining days are assigned a package plan.
• The tax rate can be overridden on a reservation-by-reservation basis.



• Up to 100 lines of free-form notes can be added to each reservation - helpful for passing information between reservations and front desk personnel.
