Support Technician Positions

Resort Data Processing, Inc., (RDP) is a Property Management Software company providing systems to Hotels, Resorts, Condominium Resorts, Fractional/Private Residence Clubs and Campgrounds.  RDP designs, programs, installs, trains, and supports our product for over 600 customers in the United States, Central American, Canada and Caribbean.  We have our Support and Sales office in Vail, CO & Programming in Solvang, CA.  These positions would be located in Vail, CO.

The open positions are  multi-dimensional jobs requiring self-motivated learning in a constantly changing environment.  The primary duty is providing telephone and web-based software support as well as updating customers to new features and versions.   Teamwork, problem solving and multitasking are required.  Teaching and public speaking in both large and small groups may eventually be required as well.

Duties include:

• Providing technical and software answers by: telephone, email, & remote internet connection.
• Hours are M-F, shifts between 7 AM and 6 PM.  Some weekends are also mandatory when traveling to customer sites.
• Training groups of 1-20.
• Delivering and installing of new products and optional system enhancements.
• Managing support calls/tickets
• Handling difficult customers with patience and professionalism.
• Creating technical documents for both internal and customer use.
• Maintaining knowledge of new features and options by reading documentation and attending weekly meetings.
• Completing projects without supervision.
• After an RDP training period, traveling to customers sites a minimum of 20 weeks per year for training and upgrades

• Hotel, Resort, Condominium Resort, Fractional/Private Residence Club or Campground operational experience
• Computer knowledge, including Windows Operating Systems,
• Knowledge of Networking, Crystal Reports, SMTP protocol, Accounting, Web Design are a bonus
• Customer Service Experience
• Public Speaking/Teaching Experience
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License
• Valid Passport
• RDP is a Non-Smoking Company
• College Degree Preferred
• Background and Credit Check may be initiated.
